Scanlouvers A/S works closely together with Quinn Plastics to offer a wide selection of materials, colours and properties. We have access to the entire range of products, and as we work as distributors we are able to offer the most competitive prices in the market.
The sheets we can offer in any shape desired, and through our grid of subcontractors we can offer very competitive solutions with vacuum shaping, laser cutting etc.
The most common materials are polycarbonate (PC), PETG and acrylics (PMMA), but we also offer polystyrene (PS) as an economical alternative.
Naturally all product portfolios have a limit, so we have supplemented our selection of sheets with other manufactures to offer a solution to all challenges.
When choosing material you may consider the following:
How high is the temperature?
§ PC can sustain higher temperatures than PMMA, but PC is not naturally protected against de-colouring caused by UV. Hence we offer UV stabilized PC as well as standard. PETG has a better UV stability than PC but is priced lower.
§ Max. temperatures for continues uses are:
o PC 115 C
o PETG 70 C
o PMMA 70 C
o PS 80 C
What light transmission do I aim at?

What kind of surface do I want?
§ Opal diffusers are generally more economical compared to e.g. satinized materials, however the perception of the surface is generally different with fewer light-shadow contrasts.
Do I want the sheet to appear in line with the bottom of the fitting?
§ On our PS sheets we offer the possibility to add profiles using ultra sound welding at a very reasonable cost. Look under the section “Louvers” for further details.
